My 3 favorite Smoothie Recipes

The hipe over Smoothies has been getting bigger bigger over the last few years. They are an amazingly quick way to get some greens and some fruit into your diet. Smoothies are incredibly versatile. Either as a great starter for the day, a refreshing afternoon snack or a after workout shake.

#1 Green Breakfast Smoothie

This one is a great starter for the day. Instead of drinking a coffee first thing in the morning, try this energizing smoothie instead and you will feel much greater all throughout the day. Green smoothies are amazing because of the chlorophyll that’s in the fresh leaves of the plants. Chlorophyll is pure lifeenergy and contains many vitamins and vital substances. When all these amazing things that are hidden in the green leaves are blended and split up I the blender, they are much more receivable for all cells of the body.

  • 1 handful of babyspinach
  • 1 sliced apple
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 a lemon (pealed or unpealed)
  • optional: add 3-4 ice cubes into the blender to make the smoothie cold and refreshing

Throw everything into your blender and just blend everything together until it has come to a smooth and creamy consistency.

#2 Berry and Yoghurt Smoothie

I love this one for the summer when I am craving something sweet and refreshing. Served with some fresh Blueberries on top, this one is a real eye-catcher because of its vibrant colors and cute look.

  • 1 cup of mixed frozen berries
  • 1 handful of fresh blue
  • 3 tablespoons of full fat greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup of water

Blend everything together until it has come to a smooth and creamy consistency.

#3 Banana Coconut Protein Smoothie

This one is a perfect post-workout Smoothie. It is super high in protein because of the bananas and the protein powder. Protein is a super important component of every cell in the body. Hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair muscle tissue. Protein is also an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

  • 2 frozen (ripe) bananas
  • 1 tablespoon of 100% pure coconut mousse (if this is not available to you just use some coconut flakes)
  • 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (preferably non-flavored over with vanilla flavor)
  • 1/2 of almond milk (you can also use regular milk)

Blend everything together until it has come to a smooth and creamy consistency.

I hope you try one of these or even all three and enjoy them as much as I do. Smoothies are just so great to add to your diet as a quick hydrating, energizing snack in summer or even in the colder months.
